Daily Energy Market Update April 21, 2026

To everyone who followed Randy’s morning report,

We’re very sorry to share that we lost Randy Rothenberg suddenly on Saturday evening.

Most of you didn’t just read Randy’s reports—you started your day with him for years. His report was part of the routine. He cut through the noise and told it straight, and people trusted him because he’d been there and done it.

Randy was around from the early days of the natural gas pit back in the 90s. He knew the markets inside and out, but more importantly, he was always willing to help someone else understand them. No ego, no nonsense—just steady, thoughtful insight every single day.

For me personally, he was a mentor from day one. For all of us, he was someone you could count on.

He’s going to be missed more than words can really capture.

We’ll share more soon, but for now we just wanted to let everyone know and take a moment to recognize what he meant to this community.
